- How do I setup my email account on Outlook Express
for
my Windows 98 and or Windows XP computer?
Step 1: Find the Outlook Express
icon on your Start menu and click to open it. The
following window should open.

Step 2: Click on Tools at
the top of the window and then find and click on Accounts
in the drop down menu. In the Internet Accounts window
that opens up, make sure that the Mail tab is selected.
Click the Add button and then click Mail in the
menu that opens.

Step 3: Clicking on Mail
will open the Internet Connection Wizard. On the Your
Name page of the wizard, type your name as you want it to
appear to everyone who gets an email from you, and then click
Next. Most people use their full name, but you can use any
name - even a nickname or business name - that people will
recognize.

Step 4: On the Internet E-mail
Address page, type in your email address and then click
Next. Bear in mind, that this is the address that people who
receive mail from you will return it to. So, it is important
that the correct address is entered.

Step 5: On the Email Server
Names page, leave the incoming mail server type as a POP3
server. In the boxes labeled Incoming and outgoing mail enter
the following: mail.maxiis.com. It is important to make
sure that the server names are entered exactly as noted. After
you are sure that they have been entered correctly, click
Next.

Step 6: On the Internet Mail
Logon page, type in your username and password in the
appropriate boxes. If you want, you can also check the
Remember Password box. If you don't, you will be prompted
for the password each time you send and receive mail. Then click
Next.
