Troubleshooting
If for any reason, you find that you have lost internet service, here are a few troubleshooting tips that you can try to get you back up and running.
- Unplug the power to the POE - The small black cable that plugs into the side of the POE supplies power to your radio unit outside. Occasionally the radio unit might need to be restarted. Always ensure that the correct power adapter is being used. Using an incorrect power adapter can cause damage to the radio unit.
- Check the status lights on the radio - The status lights on the radio unit outside can be very helpful in troubleshooting a connection problem. Below is a chart that you can use to possibly identify any problems. Always make sure that all cables running in or out of the POE are plugged in securely.
- Restart you PC - Depending on what information the status lights on the radio are showing you, it may be necessary to restart you PC. It is common for Windows operating systems to occasionally loose networking functions. Restarting the computer will generally bring communications back.
- Or restart your Router - Routers also have a rudimentary operating system that will stall on occasion. Generally unplugging the power to the unit and plugging it back in will get communications back up and running.

IMPORTANT - The first equipment to be plugged into the POE has an identification number called a MAC address that must be documented in our access points in able to allow service to your location. Any changes to that equipment will stop your service.
